Participants will:

  • Explore the pedagogical benefits of using iPad to help children capture, reflect on, and share their learning experiences.

  • Discover creative apps and tools to enable storytelling, photo journaling, and multimedia creations that amplify children’s voices.

  • Reflect on ethical considerations, including privacy, consent, and fostering digital citizenship when considering child-led digital documentation.

This 90 minute workshop aligns with the Early Years Learning Framework (Outcomes 1, 4, 5); the Queensland Kindergarten Curriculum Guidelines (Identity, Connectedness and Communicating) and draws upon the research and guidance offered in Early Childhood Australia’s Statement on Young Children and Digital Technologies. It also aligns with the Queensland Government Kindy Uplift priority areas of Oral Language and Literacy development.
